Retrievers earn MACH Season and Playoff Awards

Three UMBC ice hockey players earn MACH regular season awards, one earns MACH playoff awards.

MACH regular season awards were handed out for coach of the year, freshman of the year, second team honors (3 forwards, 2 defensemen, 1 goalie), first team honors (3 forwards, 2 defensemen, 1 goalie) and most valuable player.

Freshman defenseman Brennan Johnsson won MACH Freshman of the year and received MACH First Team honors.

Junior forward Colin Edwards received MACH First Team honors.

Senior captain Ryan Atkinson received MACH First Team honors and won the Most Valuable Player award.

Senior assistant captain and forward Jean-Luc Durantaye received votes for MACH Second Team.

Junior assistant captain and goaltender Dylan Knox received votes for MACH Second Team.

MACH playoff awards were handed out for All Tournament Team and playoff most valuable player. Senior assistant captain and forward Jean Luc Durantaye was named to the All Tournament Team as he had 6 points on 8 Retriever goals in two games.
